Why Sharpen Your Sewing Scissors?
- Sharp scissors just cut better! Sharp, clean, and precise cuts will help make your project pieces look their best for assembly.
- You won't have to work as hard. It takes less effort and puts less strain on hands and wrists when your scissors are sharpened because you won't have to exert as much force to cut through the fabric.
- Your scissors will last longer! No need to replace your scissors because they're not working as well anymore. Sharpened scissors will be (practically) like new!
The general guideline is that you should have your scissors sharpened at least once a year (maybe make it a habit of bringing your scissors in when you bring your machine in for its annual spa day!) unless you notice visible issues when cutting.
Ready to Bring Your Scissors In?
Here's what to do:
- Make sure that you don't need your scissors back right away. We try to get them back to you within 2 weeks.
- Bring your scissors into the store at least 2 hours before store closing.
- There is a deposit that needs to be paid at that time.
- We'll call you when your scissors are ready for pick up!
